Our Story
It all started at a God ordained chance encounter in an Ethiopian restaurant outside Washington D.C between Chachi Tadesse and Margaret Hoffer.
With a mutual love for Ethiopia and shared vision for empowering youth to rise to their full potential they began brainstorming how their unique gifts could combine to impact Ethiopian youth both in Ethiopia and in the US.
COVID shut down the world, but it also showed that virtual learning could effectively create a platform for US teachers and university students to provide high quality education to students in Ethiopia. The idea for Soar to Success was born. Two years later the vision became reality as the first class launched at Saint Mary's University. Soar to Success is now spreading across Ethiopia providing students from all demographics and backgrounds to access high quality education and gain the conficence necessary to excel.
